The Alaska Legislative Session is right around the corner and everyone has been anticipating the list of bills to see what laws and programs are to be debated this session. In the last two sessions the discussion centered around energy legislation. It is likely to be no different this time around considering that the AK LNG Project has found a funder. This first list of bills should provide a good starting point to get a flavor for what the legislature will spend its time on between now and May.
So far the bill to keep an eye on is SB28 Defined Benefits and how this will be used as leverage for other policy areas.
The bills have gone through an initial screening to identify which ones are assessed as Good (G), Bad (B), or Questionable (?). As the session kicks into gear, this list will be updated.
The bill numbers are hyperlinked to the AK Leg Website to see the full text of the bill.
